The Manager - Finance and Administration is accountable for ensuring the effective, confidential, and professional operation of the Human Rights Commission's finance, administration, and executive support functions, enabling the Executive Officer to discharge statutory duties under the Human Rights Act 1981 and to meet governance, accountability, and operational requirements. This includes budget coordination and monitoring, financial processing, payroll administration, human resources administration, office management, and safeguarding of premises, assets, records, and information. The role requires sustained precision and vigilance in the preparation, verification, and maintenance of records, documentation, and reporting, recognizing that errors or omissions may expose the Commission to audit findings, statutory non-compliance, procedural unfairness, or reputational harm.

Requirements

A minimum of five (5) years' relevant experience in an accounting or financial administration environment, providing hands-on financial and administrative support including payroll processing, benefits administration, and human resources administration, with demonstrated consistency in applying policies, procedures, and established requirements. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field relevant to financial management, administration, and governance is required.
