The post holder reports to the Supervisory Craft Foreman. The Technician - Mechanic is a Master Technician in accordance with National Occupational Certification for Automotive Service Technician, responsible for servicing, maintenance and repair of all DPT vehicles and equipment to manufacturer’s and DPT specifications and time schedules.

Requirements

Essential knowledge and skills include general and technical knowledge as well as soft skills. Must have at least two of four areas of expertise (electrician, air conditioning, fuel pump injection, and transmission repair). Bermuda National Certification: Master Technician Heavy Vehicle (Level 4 HV). Minimum of 10+ years of mechanic experience, successful achievement of all demonstrated competencies of a Master Technician Heavy Vehicle (Level 4 HV). Advanced knowledge of all vehicle systems and components, vehicle electronics, telecommunications, safe workshop methods, etc.
