The role of Head of Ground Operations (HGO) is pivotal in overseeing all ground activities at the airline, ensuring operations at all served airports are efficient, safe, secure, and timely. This leadership position entails managing ground service providers, supervising ground crew functions, maintaining high operational standards, and enhancing ground processes to align with the airline's operational and customer service goals. Reporting directly to the CEO, the HGO will guide both internal teams and third-party service providers, drive operational excellence, implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), manage budgets and key performance indicators (KPIs), and uphold regulatory compliance while fostering continuous improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Operations Management or related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum 7 years' experience in ground operations, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role. Deep knowledge of ground handling, airport operations and aviation safety/regulatory requirements. Proven leadership managing diverse teams in high-pressure airport environments. Strong problem-solving, organizational and communication skills. Experience with ground operations software, performance monitoring and cost management. Commitment to safety, efficiency, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
