The Postholder manages and controls the operations of the payroll, payables, debt collection, and receivables sections of the department. Ensures that systems and staff are operating within the required policies and procedures and that adequate controls are consistently applied. Duties include managing payroll, reporting and fixed assets, accounts receivables, accounts payables, and debt collection. The postholder is required to make daily decisions related to delegation of duties and may implement minor process changes to meet deadlines, with major changes requiring higher approval.
Requirements
The post holder must be professionally qualified in accounting and be a full member of an internationally recognized accounting body. A minimum of three years relevant post-qualification experience is required. Experience with JD Edwards or ERP accounting systems and QuickBooks is an asset.
