The post holder works under the direction of the Ministry Comptroller to manage and provide comprehensive accounting services that support all departments within the Ministry's centralized portfolio in accordance with the Bermuda Government's Financial Instructions and the Ministry's policies and procedures. The post holder assists in the coordination of the budget, manages the budget on an ongoing basis, and manages the financial reporting process. In addition, the post holder is responsible for the financial, operational and human resources of the Ministry's Accounts Section.

Requirements

The post holder must be professionally qualified in Accounting and be a full member of an internationally recognized accounting body and eligible for membership in Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) Bermuda. Must maintain membership in an internationally recognized professional association/institute and also be current with continuing professional education requirements for their designation. A minimum of three (3) years post-qualification experience is required with one (1) year supervisory experience.
