Strong knowledge of USALI and hospitality-specific accounting practices. Experienced user of M3, Opera and Symphony. Proficiency in accounting software (Sage Intacct, Oracle NetSuite, QuickBooks) and PMS systems (Infor HMS) helpful. Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modelling). Understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation. Analytical & Functional skills, Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, Cash flow management, Payroll and Labour cost analysis. Internal controls and audit coordination. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent communication skills for interacting with GM, ownership, department heads, and external accounting department. Attention to detail and high accuracy under deadline pressure. Problem-solving and process-improvement mindset. Ability to multitask across multiple priorities and business needs (hotel, multifamily, condo HOA).

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (required); CPA preferred. Additional certification in hospitality finance (e.g., CHAE – Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive) is a plus. Minimum 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory/managerial role. Prior experience in hotel, resort, or hospitality accounting strongly preferred. Hands-on experience with month-end close, USALI reporting, and hotel PMS/accounting systems. Experience managing external accounting team (M3 PAS) with indirect guidance to broader stakeholders (General Manager, Department Heads, etc)
