Works under the supervision of a Principal Senior Customs Officer or Customs Officer to prevent the interdict restricted or prohibited goods entering Bermuda and to protect and collect the Government revenue, in accordance with the provisions of the Revenue Act 1898 and the Customs Tariff Act 1970. Duties involve processing Bermuda Customs Declarations, collecting yacht arrival tax, checking passenger declarations, conducting surveillance on arriving passengers, gathering intelligence related to smugglers, and administering regulations related to the entry of vessels.

Requirements

Post holder must have successfully completed the honors BSSC with passes in Traditional English and Traditional Math, or equivalent e.g G.C.E or G.C.S.E. English Language and Mathematics with a “C” pass. The individual should possess interpersonal and communication skills to tactfully interact with the public.
