We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aviation Security Manager to play a pivotal role in strengthening our company’s physical security operations and managing our services in accordance with national and international legislative requirements. This role involves execution and management of services at L. F. Wade International Airport inclusive of but not limited to strict adherence to monthly reporting and documentation, conducting trainings, execution of quality control, ensuring stringent compliance with international standards, actively influencing, motivating, and supporting employees to achieve expected and enhanced performance results, proactive implementation of corrective measures to mitigate risks, and management and enforcement of UK DfT. USA TSA, NASP, ASP, Client and Company policies and procedures.

The General Duties include but are not limited to:

• Management and evaluation of team members inclusive of coaching and training sessions
• Effective management of human resources
• Execution of threat/risk assessment, management of security incident and contingency planning.
• Operational responsibility for critical services within a 24/7/365 on-call ecosystem.
• Building and maintenance of effective working relationships with internal business and clients to ensure compliance with security obligations.
• Ownership of performance monitoring
• Management, delivery and evaluation of Security training
• Coordination and support with client(s), National Agencies and Regulatory bodies.
• Management of the company and client’s Emergency Plan(s).
• Management of audits, inspections and tests to identify areas for improvement.
• Developing and maintaining effective relationships with client(s), regulatory bodies both Local and International agencies and law enforcement.
• Conducting joint compliance activities with regulators.
• Production and maintenance of formal procedures and manuals surrounding security.
• Execution of ad-hoc security investigations

Minimum Criteria:

• Minimum of 3 years’ Aviation Security Manager experience (preferably Airport /Airline) and a holder of an ICAO
• Aviation Security Manager or IATA - Aviation Security Management or ACI -Management of Airport Security Certification or a Degree in Aviation Management
• Alternatively, ICAO - Aviation Security Instructor, ICAO -Aviation Security National Instructor or IATA – Aviation Security National Instructor or a University Graduate in Aviation Safety, Security and/or Management, University Graduate in Maritime Security, Safety, National Security and/or Business Management.
• Five years’ experience in Border Security Management or National Security and/or Military Service (Commission Level)
• Knowledge and application of international security programs and regimes including ICAO Annex 17 ‘Standards and Recommended Practices concerned with the security of international air transport’ and the ICAO Security Manual (Doc. 8973).
• Knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SEMS) within the aviation industry.
• Knowledge of Emergency Planning and Response for Airlines and Airports.
• Demonstrated proficiency in meeting deadlines under pressure and preparing and delivering written reports, risk assessments, and briefings to senior management
• Knowledge and understanding of aviation security regulations and implementation.
• Proficiency or strong familiarity with Walk Through Metal Detectors (WTMD), Computed Tomography (CT), Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) systems and their application is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively across all levels of the organization
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong in meeting deadlines and working under pressure.
• Exceptional organizational and decision-making skills, inclusive of project management capability
• Holder of a valid passport with a USA Visa
• Current Police Record Certificate
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for effective reporting and presentations.
