Works under the direction of the Deputy Commissioner, to manage, control and establish policies and procedures for the Finance and Corporate Services of the Police Service and to be directly responsible for financial and budgetary controls which ensure that allocated resources are used efficiently and effectively based upon planned objectives and timely reporting. In addition, he/she is responsible for financial 'planning, compliance with the budgetary process, accurate and timely financial information for decision-making, provides professional advice to the Commissioner on proposals with financial implications and makes appropriate recommendations. Develops and implements a computerized financial record keeping system and provides professional financial and managerial consulting service for the Police Service.

Requirements

Minimum of five years' post qualification experience is required for the post. Additionally, the post holder must have proven experience in management and supervision and have very good interpersonal and communication skills. Postholder must be professionally qualified in Accounting and be a full member of an internationally recognized professional body.
