Premia Reinsurance Ltd., is a Bermuda-based Class 4 specialty reinsurance company focused on acquiring non-life run-off (re)insurance portfolios including acquiring companies in run-off worldwide. The successful applicant will have a dual reporting mandate to both the Group Financial Reporting and Reinsurance Accounting and Reporting functions. Responsibilities include performing reviews of subsidiary reporting, assisting in preparation of quarterly financial analytics, preparing journal entries for quarterly financial close, working with external auditors, ensuring footnote disclosures, and assisting with onboarding newly acquired businesses.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; Professional accounting designation (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent); At least four (4) years of relevant experience at a 'Big 4' accounting firm and/or in the reinsurance industry; Experience with U.S. GAAP guidance relating to (re)insurance accounting including CECL guidance; Experience and proficiency in Bermuda Statutory reporting; Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and data analytics); Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and Workiva’s W-Desk is an asset.
