The post holder provides general medical care, health supervision, and health education in the Department of Health clinics. Responsibilities include coverage for off-duty Medical Officer (Police & Prisons), on-call and emergency medical supervision services, and correctional and detainee medical services; functions at a Middle Manager level to plan, implement, and coordinate clinical services in accordance with the Public Health Act 1949 and relevant policies.

Requirements

Minimum of five years relevant clinical experience. Must possess a Medical degree (M.D.; M.B.,B.S.; M.B.,CH.B. or D.O.), be registered or eligible for registration with the Bermuda Medical Council, and have current Basic Life Support or CPR certification. Additional experience or qualifications may replace years of service requirement.
