Somers Re Ltd. is a privately held, global specialty property and casualty insurance and reinsurance company headquartered in Bermuda. This position will report into the Controller and will assist in quarterly close process, financial reporting and other finance and accounting duties as assigned. Duties include preparation of US GAAP financial statements, reinsurance accounting, and regulatory filings.
Requirements
A professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CA, CPA, ACA) is required. 3 years related work experience, preferably gained in an insurance/reinsurance environment. Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with strong Excel skills. Ability and willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
