The Senior Actuarial Consultant role sits within the Fixed Deferred & Payout Annuity Valuation (GAAP / Statutory) team and is based in Bermuda. Key responsibilities include executing and owning U.S. statutory cash flow testing (CFT), supporting the Appointed Actuary's asset adequacy analysis, performing C3 Phase 1 scenario runs, and validating CFT results. The role also involves supporting readiness for VM-22 principle-based reserving, building and maintaining AXIS models, and driving automation through SQL and Power BI solutions. Collaboration with ALM, Investments, Finance, and mentoring junior actuaries are also key parts of the position.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or a related numerate field. Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) strongly preferred. At least 5 years of work experience in insurance or finance, with expertise in financial reporting, actuarial valuation and modeling. Experience with U.S. statutory cash flow testing and asset adequacy analysis strongly preferred. Experience building actuarial models in GGY AXIS strongly preferred; experience with SQL, Power BI or Python a plus. Familiarity with fixed and payout annuity products and with U.S. GAAP (LDTI) and statutory requirements, including VM-22. Ability to travel when required.
