Ascot is seeking an AVP, Property Treaty Underwriter to join the Bermuda Property reinsurance team. This individual will help grow and manage a diverse portfolio of property reinsurance with responsibilities underwriting proportional and excess of loss treaties and retrocession. Key duties include underwriting portfolios utilizing analytical techniques, negotiating treaty renewals, communicating with intermediaries, and collaborating with actuarial and finance partners.

Requirements

Minimum 7 years of experience obtained at a leading carrier or intermediary; Existing strong relationships in US and UK markets; Background in Property reinsurance; Comprehensive understanding of modelling principles with hands-on experience in cat models; Experience with actuarial pricing techniques; Strong analytical and Microsoft Excel skills.
