Our client, HCC Re Agency Ltd ('HCC Re') are seeking a Treaty Specialty Underwriter to play a key role in the profitable development and management of the Treaty Specialty portfolio. The Treaty Specialty Underwriter will underwrite new and renewal business, assess complex risks, support portfolio objectives, and build strong relationships with brokers, clients and internal stakeholders. The role requires strong technical underwriting judgement, commercial awareness and the ability to identify and develop profitable opportunities.

Requirements

University degree in a highly numerate field. Professional actuarial qualification (FCA, FIA, or equivalent). At least 10 years reinsurance within Specialty Lines, including but not limited to, Marine, Energy, Cyber, Financial / Credit lines, with experience supporting with Actuarial analysis. Deep experience with pricing, owning and developing pricing principles and developing pricing models to support underwriting. Significant analytical experience with exceptional experience and working knowledge of Excel. Excellent communication skills, with proven ability to effectively communicate with Underwriters, Actuaries and other teams within the organisation.
