Deliver specialized instruction to students with visual and/or hearing impairments. Ensure students have equitable access to the curriculum through accommodations, modifications, and assistive technology. Maintain accurate documentation, assessments and IEPs while ensuring compliance with educational legislation related to special education and disability rights. Provide expert guidance to school staff and families.

Requirements

Must possess a Master’s degree in Special Education, Education of the Visually Impaired, Education of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, or related field. Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) or Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH), valid teaching license, valid BEC license and Braille certification (for TVI roles). Sign language proficiency (for TDHH roles).
