The company is a healthcare technology company that delivers innovative point-of-care diagnostic solutions. We are seeking a dependable, patient-focused Part-Time Phlebotomist to support ongoing monthly testing clinics at a fixed clinical location in Bermuda.

This is a long-term, part-time opportunity with a predictable monthly schedule of around 20 hours per month. Training will be provided on the company’s software platform, testing workflow, and point-of-care devices.

Position Summary

The Phlebotomist will be responsible for collecting capillary and venous blood samples for point-of-care testing using devices. The role focuses on accurate specimen collection, patient education, quality testing procedures, and ensuring successful transmission of test results through the company’s portal.

Patient registration and demographic information will be completed by our local clinical partner. The Phlebotomist's primary responsibility is specimen collection, testing, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform capillary blood collection and venipuncture for point-of-care diagnostic testing.
• Collect blood specimens using proper techniques while maintaining specimen integrity.
• Operate testing devices (training provided).
• Ensure accurate sample volumes are collected to maintain testing accuracy.
• Perform HbA1c testing and other point-of-care diagnostics as required.
• Follow established quality control, infection prevention, and specimen handling procedures.
• Verify successful transmission of test results through the Company’s portal.
• Document testing activities accurately within the Company’s software platform.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all applicable privacy regulations.
• Assist with maintaining testing supplies and ensuring equipment is ready for each clinic.

Qualifications

• Current phlebotomy certification, active nursing license (RN or LPN), or equivalent hands-on clinical experience with venipuncture and capillary blood collection.
• Experience performing both capillary blood collection and venipuncture.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and specimen collection accuracy.
• Comfortable learning new software and healthcare technology.
• Ability to work independently in a clinical environment.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Experience with point-of-care testing devices is an asset but not required.

Schedule

• Approximately 20 hours per month
• Fixed clinical location in Bermuda
• Clinic hours will generally be 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Initial clinic dates: August 24-27, 2026
• Following the initial launch, clinics will be held approximately once per month, with dates scheduled in advance.
• Typical monthly patient volume is 15-20 patients per day.

Contract Engagement

• This is an independent contractor opportunity and is not an employee position.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Bermuda at the time of engagement.
• The selected contractor will provide services under an Independent Contractor Agreement.
• Contractors will invoice the Company monthly for approved hours worked. Payment will be made in accordance with the terms of the agreement. The Company may utilize Deel or another approved international contractor payment platform to facilitate contracting and payments.
• Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and any other obligations associated with independent contractor status.
