The supervisor leads the food service team, manages staffing and performance, enforces safety and sanitation standards, and monitors meal production and distribution to ensure efficient, high-quality service for patients and staff. Key responsibilities include motivating the team, supervising various areas of the Food Service Team, participating in training, preparing work schedules, and ensuring compliance with departmental standards. They communicate with various staff for efficient menu distribution and ensure food items are prepared according to standards. The role includes auditing trays, identifying areas for improvement, and experience in a fast-paced environment is necessary.

Requirements

Two-year Associate’s degree in Hotel Restaurant Management, Food Science, Nutrition Management, Culinary Arts, Food Service Management or equivalent. Certification from a recognized institution in Supervisory Management. Experience working in a large food production operation with a minimum of two years previous Supervisory Management experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
