To carry out with minimal supervision any task associated with the construction, maintenance and repair of buildings as it relates to plumbing at a Class 2 Level. Accountable to Depot/Supervisory/Working Craft Foreman. Duties include installation, operation, maintenance and repair of water and waste disposal systems, sizing pipes for domestic premises, carrying out plumbing works using various materials, preparing fixtures, repairing and adjusting valves, directing junior mechanics and apprentices, and listing material requirements.

Requirements

Minimum of one (1) year experience in construction after completion of an apprenticeship programme or through practical experience appropriate to the duties and responsibilities of the post. Must hold a relevant National Training Board Certification for Plumbing. Completion of an appropriate apprenticeship in a construction related trade or equivalent is required.
