The Imaging Resource Technologist provides high quality medical imaging and related healthcare services for the Clients of the Bermuda Hospitals Board (BHB) in a safe and effective manner. Key responsibilities include: Performs examinations utilizing appropriate imaging techniques and positioning; Liaises and communicates with the Senior Imaging Technologist on a daily basis; Coordinates staff daily work schedules; Vets all requests; Reviews all exams; Assists with monitoring of image quality; Coordinates/performs in-services to line staff; Provides input on department capital and operating budgets; Works with the Senior Imaging Technologist to coordinate training.

Requirements

Undergraduate degree in Medical Imaging or Radiologic Technology from an accredited institution. Five (5) years post certification experience. Certification from an accredited program: Level 1 - Single Modality in Radiography; Level 2 - Single modality in Radiology PLUS 1 or more certifications in Mammography, Cat Scan, Bone Densitometry, MRI or Nuclear Medicine. Current Registration in one or more: ARRT, CAMRT, or DCRR. Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS).
