The Bermuda Monetary Authority (Authority or BMA) is seeking the services of a skilled and capable individual to work as a Senior Analyst in our Supervision (Insurance, Funds and Corporate Authorisations) Department. Reporting to the Principal, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for performing management reviews of a compliance nature, statutory return analysis, solvency capital evaluation and monitoring of selected businesses. They will report the findings and recommendations to the Principal to discuss and develop an action plan. This is a key role for the Authority and the postholder will be responsible for but not limited to: Undertaking on-site reviews, supervisory colleges and analysis of selected businesses and their respective capital models; Identifying risk issues and formulating reports; Developing agendas and schedules for prudential meetings; Undertaking projects relating to the Department’s supervisory and regulatory responsibilities; Monitoring the market with a specific focus on developments in the insurance industry; Monitoring identified high-risk registrants with compliance issues; Reviewing applications in accordance with existing legislation.
