The Senior Analyst-Actuary will be responsible for regulatory supervision activities, including monitoring and assessing insurers' performance with informed insight, analysing regulatory reporting and undertaking appropriate supervisory actions in accordance with legislation and/or strategic business goals. This is a key role for the Authority involving reviewing financial filings, performing technical reviews on reserves, developing agendas for prudential meetings, and contributing to thought leadership research on technical life insurance.
Requirements
A professional actuarial designation (ASA, FSA, FIA, AIA, FFA, FCIA or CERA); Minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience in financial services or regulatory bodies; Good rating agency, enterprise risk management and/or life insurance knowledge; Understanding of the Bermuda regulatory framework or Solvency II; Familiarity with modelling tools such as Excel, R, Matlab, Python; Proficiency with insurance and investment accounting.
