Group Ark Insurance Limited, a Class 4 re/insurance company, is seeking a Senior Catastrophe Modeler to provide senior technical leadership across catastrophe risk assessment, reinsurance pricing and portfolio analytics. The role will partner closely with Bermuda-based underwriting teams and other stakeholders to support risk selection, structure and price catastrophe-exposed business, and strengthen Ark's view of risk. The successful candidate will combine deep catastrophe modeling expertise with practical actuarial pricing techniques, particularly for property catastrophe excess-of-loss transactions. The role requires the ability to challenge model output, develop defensible adjustments, translate uncertainty into commercial decisions and improve the data, tools and governance that support underwriting.

Requirements

Master's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, data science, engineering, physical geography, finance, or another relevant quantitative discipline. At least 10 years of catastrophe modeling experience within the insurance, reinsurance, brokerage, or catastrophe modeling industry, including substantial experience supporting property catastrophe reinsurance. Deep practical experience with Moody's RMS and KCC. Demonstrated experience pricing catastrophe excess-of-loss treaties. Strong understanding of catastrophe treaty structures. Advanced analytical capabilities in GIS, Python, SQL, and Excel.
