The position will report directly to the Executive Vice President, Claims and Claims Counsel, Chubb Bermuda. Duties include managing Excess Property, Political Risk and Aviation insurance and reinsurance claims; liaising with senior executives (CFO, Chief Actuary) and brokers; retaining and managing outside counsel; analyzing loss-reserve development; designing performance metrics; managing outward reinsurance; and operational oversight of the department.

Requirements

An Undergraduate Degree. At least 10 years' experience handling Property, Political Risk and Aviation claims. A minimum of 10 years' experience handling outward reinsurance. In-depth knowledge of auditing and performing external claims reviews. Excellent organizational skills. Superior analytical, oral and written communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills. Ability to foster a culture of collaboration. Impeccable judgment. Ability to meet deadlines and work extended hours and weekends when required.
