We are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual for the position of Assistant Vice President (AVP), Fund Accounting in our Bermuda office. Reporting directly to the SVP, Head of ILS Fund Accounting, the successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of investment funds, delivery to clients, and managing and assisting members of the team. Key responsibilities include management of senior fund accountants, vetting offering documents, calculation of net asset values, and coordination of audit processes.

Requirements

A University degree preferably majoring in accounting or another financials related discipline. Internationally recognized accounting designation (CPA, ACA, etc.) with at least 8 years post qualification experience working either in the hedge fund administration industry or as an audit senior or higher in audit practice. Strong understanding of investment accounting, hedge funds and ILS structures. In-depth knowledge of hedge fund performance fee calculations. In-depth understanding of complex investment securities including options, futures and other derivative products. Strong understanding of relevant US GAAP accounting standards. Willingness to work extended hours and public holidays, as required.
