• A minimum of five years' experience in a high-volume Human Resources Management role of a similar size organization;
• A minimum of two years' experience working within a unionized environment; including hands-on experience in contract negotiations;
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related discipline;
• Professional certification from an accredited Human Resources Management organization such as HRCI or SHRM preferred;
• Sound knowledge of all employment related legislation, as it pertains to Bermuda's Employment Act ("the Act"), and Bermuda Immigration and Work Permit Policy;
• Experience in a multi-system environment with strong computer literacy, utilizing an HRIS/HRMS and the Microsoft Suite;
• Proven ability to run a high volume of recruitment requisitions targeting both local and overseas markets;
• Sound knowledge of local benefits providers including health insurance, pension, life insurance, and social insurance;
• Strong leadership, coaching and interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate and work with individuals at all levels;
• Experience in leading and delivering training and development concepts; public speaking skills considered an asset;
• Exercising discretion and respect for confidentiality in all matters;
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks while prioritizing and responding to a variety of demands in a deadline-driven environment;
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
• Possess a valid driver's license and transportation (bike and/or car) in order to attend multiple store locations around the island when required;
• Willingness to work additional hours as needed.
