The Lead, Accountant is responsible for performing the accounting operations for Celebrity River Cruises' Bermuda entity while supporting accounting, reporting, and compliance activities for the Basel, Switzerland office. This role supports the integrity of financial reporting, maintenance of effective internal controls, compliance with local statutory requirements, and the development of scalable accounting processes to support the growth of the business. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. Duties include preparing monthly/quarterly/annual close processes, reviewing journal entries, supporting Swiss statutory reporting, coordinating annual audits, and partnering with local advisors.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent professional designation preferred.
Minimum 6-8 years of progressive accounting experience.
Experience supporting international entities and multi-jurisdictional environments.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, audits, controls, and statutory compliance.
Experience with statutory reporting, audits, and regulatory compliance in international environments.
Experience coordinating accounting activities across different legal entities preferred.
Cruise, hospitality, travel, or multinational experience preferred.
