Our client is looking for a Vice President Analytics. Key responsibilities include: providing senior technical leadership and hands-on expertise in actuarial analytics, mortality modelling, analytical software development, reinsurance underwriting and applied artificial intelligence. The role involves developing proprietary analytical capabilities, translating insurance experience into sound actuarial assumptions, and supporting informed underwriting and business decisions. Key areas of focus include Actuarial technology and software development (leading R-based platforms), Mortality modelling and assumption development, Senior technical underwriting (review of life, health, longevity transactions), and Applied AI and colleague support.

Requirements

An actuarial designation such as FSA, FIA or equivalent. Minimum 10 years of professional experience combining actuarial judgment with advanced statistical modelling and practical software development. Advanced proficiency with R programming and analytical software architecture. Demonstrated expertise in mortality and longevity modelling. Strong background in actuarial experience analysis and credibility. Experience developing and validating statistical models. Proven capability in reinsurance pricing and underwriting. Practical experience developing AI applications and solutions. Strong capability in handling large datasets, developing reproducible analytical workflows and explaining complex technical matters.
