Prismic Life is looking for a Lead Actuary, EBS Valuation. The Lead Actuary, EBS Valuation will be responsible for managing and maintaining Bermuda reporting and reserving requirements for the Vehicle’s liabilities, including underlying data, assumptions and methods. These activities will be carried out in accordance with BMA regulatory rules and Bermuda accounting frameworks and in an appropriate control environment. This position reports directly to the Chief Actuary. The Lead Actuary, EBS Valuation will operate out of Bermuda more than 75% of the time. Major responsibilities include performing and leading economic balance sheet (EBS) reserve determination, supporting Bermuda reporting requirements, providing actuarial inputs for annual Bermuda filing, developing actuarial processes, and reviewing liability cash flows.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree required. Fully qualified actuary (FSA or equivalent) with 7+ years of relevant experience. Direct valuation experience in the Bermuda framework for Life and Annuity products with experience with reinsurance transaction preferred. Experience leading projects or technical workstreams. Experience with reinsurance transactions is a plus. Demonstrated ability to understand and apply technical aspects of external regulatory, capital and solvency requirements. Currently working in Bermuda is required.
