We are seeking a passionate, creative, and motivated Chef to join our Culinary team. The Junior Sous Chef assists the Executive Chef in the daily management and operation of the kitchen, ensuring the consistent preparation and presentation of high-quality food in accordance with established recipes, culinary standards, food safety regulations, and guest expectations. The position plays a key role in supervising kitchen staff, coordinating food preparation, maintaining kitchen hygiene, monitoring food costs, controlling inventory, and ensuring efficient service during breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquets, and special events.

Requirements

Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a professional restaurant, hotel, resort, or comparable high-volume food service operation. Demonstrated experience supervising, directing, and supporting kitchen team members. Proven knowledge and hands-on experience working on the pass, coordinating food service, expediting orders, managing ticket times, and checking food quality. Experience and knowledge of menu development, including creating new dishes, recipe development, and costing. Strong technical cooking skills and thorough understanding of food safety, sanitation, HACCP principles, and kitchen operations. Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
