Reporting to the Chief Underwriting Officer, the Data Analyst will build and own the data infrastructure underpinning OnRe's underwriting operations, including automated broker submission workflows, underwriting databases, and integrations with internal and external systems. Working closely with senior management and internal engineers, the role will ensure accurate, real-time data flows into transparency dashboards, portfolio reporting, and daily NAV processes. Key Responsibilities include building and owning automated workflows, developing a submissions portal, connecting modeling and portfolio outputs to dashboards, building tooling for NAV processes, developing internal tools in C# and Python, and managing inflation and loss data.

Requirements

University degree, preferably in Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Computer Science. 5+ years' experience in (re)insurance or ILS analytics, catastrophe modeling or data development. Strong SQL / SQL Server, Python and C# / .NET skills. Strong Excel skills including VBA. Experience with catastrophe model databases (AIR EDM/ RDM or similar). Experience integrating with model vendor APIs to automate import, analysis and export. Background in ILS or retro, with an extensive understanding of reinsurance structures. Track record of building data pipelines and internal tools from design to deployment. Rigorous approach to data quality and validation, and the ability to work independently.
