Chief Of Oral Health Section

The post holder works under the direction of the Director, in accordance with relevant legislation, to assure the effective and efficient provision of clinical and community-based dental public health services to targeted populations (including children, seniors, special patients, and prisoners). The post holder is accountable for the overall management and administration of the Oral Health Section of the Department of Health, including resource management, strategic planning, service delivery, and programme management. The post holder collaborates with the Chief Medical Officer and the Director of Health in health protection and within multi-disciplinary teams, providing expert advice on legislation, regulations, research, and standards of practice. The post holder serves as an ex officio member of the Bermuda Dental Board and primarily assures compliance with legal requirements and strategic objectives in alignment with best practices. The post holder is responsible for oral health policy development and is a key player in strategic planning for the Department of Health.
