The Bermuda Monetary Authority (Authority or BMA) is seeking the services of a skilled and capable individual to work as a Senior Analyst in the Supervision (Anti-Money Laundering/Anti-Terrorist Financing) Department. Reporting to a Principal, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for performing management reviews and conducting compliance investigations under existing legislation, including monitoring and analysing selected businesses, reporting findings and recommendations to the Principal for discussion and developing action plans. The post-holder will act as the subject matter expert on Anti-Money Laundering/Anti-Terrorist Financing (AML/ATF) issues within the Authority. Key responsibilities include undertaking on-site and off-site examinations, assisting with monitoring programmes, reviewing guidance notes, producing outreach sessions, and participating in enforcement activities.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in business, law or finance-related field or equivalent qualification in business, finance, risk management or accounting from a recognised institution or professional body; A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in the financial services industry and/or working experience with a financial or regulatory body in the compliance/AML, investigations or auditing field; A working knowledge of the international standards on the prevention of money laundering and combating terrorist financing; Strong written and verbal communication skills; Proven experience in the evaluation of corporate governance structures, AML/ATF and risk management frameworks; Familiarity with the digital asset business and digital assets would be an advantage.
