Responsible for managing an underwriting team and complex book of business, employing methods necessary to meet projected profitability, GWP, and expense goals, management and growth of the overall portfolio of business, implementing proper underwriting discipline/guidelines, marketing and servicing of existing and potential insureds.

Requirements

University degree in Business, Finance or Economics. Minimum of 15+ years professional liability underwriting experience. Experience underwriting Fortune 500 Commercial and Financial Institutions Risks. Primary Management liability underwriting experience in the areas of Director and Officer’s Liability, Fidelity, Fiduciary, Employment Practices Liability and Wage and Hour. Strong marketing, negotiation and presentation skills. Experience working with senior insurance brokers and corporate risk and financial managers. Strong understanding of standard Management Liability and Errors and Omissions policy wordings. Experience managing a team of underwriters. Ability to travel, including weekends. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
