The Assistant Controller is an integral member of the Controller’s leadership team. A key focus for this role will be to assist the Global Corporate Controller in managing, enhancing, and improving the finance and accounting function. Key responsibilities include issuing accurate and timely consolidated financial statements, assisting the Global Corporate Controller in overseeing organizational accounting functions, directing accounting and reporting policies, and managing internal and external financial reports for Senior Management and Shareholders. The role also involves driving a culture of stewardship with a focus on robust internal controls (SOX), providing accounting guidance, and building matrixed relationships with Regional Controllers and Finance Directors.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics; Master’s degree and/or CA, CPA, or ACCA required. Minimum of 10 years’ Big 4 public accounting audit experience, or a minimum of 15 years’ combined Big 4 and corporate accounting experience in a senior leadership role. Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS. Skilled in preparing complex consolidated financial statements of a multi-national company with 100+ individual legal entities. Experience interacting with boards of directors and leading large teams across multiple locations.
