The successful candidate will assist in the preparation and analysis of both internal and external financial reporting. Responsibilities include assisting in month end GAAP accounting process, preparation and design of monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting and analysis, and preparing statutory filings for the Bermuda Monetary Authority. You will also assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts and manage ad-hoc finance projects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance together with an internationally recognized accounting designation (i.e. CA, CPA or equivalent) required. At least 4 years of post-qualification experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry required. Experience in the preparation or review of consolidated financial statements, Bermuda statutory returns and BSCR. Detailed working knowledge and experience of both U.S. GAAP and Bermuda statutory regulations. Sophisticated and highly developed excel spreadsheet skills. Strong work ethic, commitment to meet deadlines and ability to work overtime as required. A working knowledge of SunGL/SAP, VisionXL and Workiva would be advantageous.
