The Finance and Capital Associate is a senior level accountant who will provide accounting oversight to accounting and reporting processes and supervise work of junior accountants. The incumbent will support the company's Institutional business segment by delivering accounting and control functions primarily related to capital management and regulatory reporting but will also support the Global Atlantic Bermuda subsidiaries' and sidecars' internal reporting needs. Duties include planning and coordination across source functions for capital measurement, review and quality assurance of capital and regulatory reporting, partnering with the Bermuda CFO on business initiatives, and delivering regulatory reporting on US GAAP, US Statutory, and Bermuda Economic balance sheet bases.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance strongly preferred; CPA, CA or equivalent internationally recognized accounting designation; 6 years of analytical work experience obtained in a similar role; Significant (re)insurance experience, including recent Life (re)insurance experience is required; Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP or US Statutory accounting; Robust experience with Bermuda Economic Balance Sheet and BSCR required; Strong quantitative and analytical skills; Effective verbal and written communication skills; Ability to manage competing priorities; Proven success delivering automation solutions; Familiarity with Essbase, Hyperion, W Desk, Tableau, and other reporting and analysis applications a plus.
