The SVP, Head of Bermuda Specialty Reinsurance position is involved with the underwriting, pricing and steering of the speciality reinsurance portfolio. The geographical responsibilities will be global in nature with a focus on Bermudian and London distribution channels. Essential duties include acting as lead underwriter and relationship manager for Marine, Energy, and Accident & Health business units, supporting global Specialty strategy, acting as market expert for Alternative Reinsurance products, and performing as a pricing actuary on certain treaties.
Requirements
FCAS or equivalent analytical experience with strong proven quantitative acumen. Minimum 10 years' actuarial/risk modelling experience. Experience pricing specialty reinsurance treaties. Demonstrable track record of success as a relationship manager and treaty underwriter. Experience designing structured reinsurance products. Experience in International (non-U.S.) reinsurance markets. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
