The clinician provides patient assessments and therapeutic treatments, supervises support staff, maintains accurate clinical documentation and statistics, and collaborates with the healthcare team to optimize patient care and discharge planning. Key responsibilities include: meets productivity standards for direct patient contact and related duties, performing assessments and formulating treatment plans, supervising treatment plans, observing and evaluating treatment effects, maintaining documentation, keeping accurate statistics, and promoting team participation in patient care.

Requirements

Master of Art or Science degree in Communication Disorders/Speech and Language Pathology or equivalent with certification in jurisdiction of training. One to two years post-graduate experience in a Speech Language Pathology environment preferably within a hospital. Local registration to practice with the Council for Allied Health Professions (CAHP) and meet all re-registration requirements. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
