The post holder provides general medical care, health supervision for personal health, and health education in the Department of Health Adult Health clinics. The post holder promotes the institutionalization of HEARTS as the model for Integrated service delivery in Bermuda. Strengthens the coordination between PAHO's country office with relevant counterparts in the Ministries of Health responsible for the implementation of the HEARTS Initiative. Provides technical support to the country in the implementation of the strategy and roadmap for HEARTS in Bermuda based on the programmatic priorities for 2024 and the strategic pillars of the initiative. Facilitates the coordinated work between the different actors involved in the implementation of HEARTS in Bermuda. Systematically documents implementation experience including periodic reporting requirements. Develops and implements a training plan to support the implementation of HEARTS in Bermuda.

Requirements

The post holder must have a minimum of five (5) years' relevant clinical experience. Medical degree (M.D.; M.B.B.S.; M.B.CH.B. or D.O.), registered or eligible for registration with the Bermuda Medical Council. Must have current Basic Life Support or CPR for Health Care Worker certification. In lieu of five years' experience, applicants with three years in a primary care residency programme and relevant specialty medical qualification may be considered. Must maintain professional registrations and affiliations. Valid Bermuda driver's license is required.
