We seek qualified, highly motivated, and experienced professionals to work in a supportive but Under the direction of the Procurement Manager will be responsible for the acquisition of all minor purchases made on behalf of the BHB. Responsibilities include working closely with staff to identify special needs/requirements with regards to minor purchases and manages the disposal of capital equipment/furniture. Key responsibilities include: Maintaining established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program and cost initiatives by Developing procurement strategies and conferring with Procurement Manager Performing price and cost analysis for minor purchases and stock items Maintaining expected level of customer service throughout the entire organization Maintaining highest ethical standards when dealing with any member of the BHB community or suppliers. Ensuring that hospital standard procurement procedures are followed in connection with purchases of minor equipment Recording and submitting any emergency minor purchases to Procurement Manager for CFO approval and modifies existing list Assisting departments in obtaining quotes and alternate sources as requested. Assisting Buyers when required i.e., short staffed, vacation. Performs price and cost analysis for minor purchases and stock items. Report's findings to Procurement Manager Assist Procurement Manager with the development and implement new policies and procedures Qualifications & Registration required: Bachelor's in business or equivalent experience with a minimum of five (5) years in Health Care and/or Materials Management Certification within a recognized Materials Management Society (NAPM/PMAC) Must have understanding a working knowledge of the total Procurement Process including forecasting; contract terms, conditions; law (local & international); cost and price analysis process and asset Management Demonstrable verbal and written communications skills at all levels of the organization Pre-employment substance abuse screening is mandatory for all successful candidates
