Reporting into and working closely with the Senior Accountant, Finance, the Assistant Accountant will support the investment accounting, finance, and treasury operations within the Brookfield Wealth Solutions Group ("BWS") Group. Responsibilities include maintenance of the G/L, completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting procedures, preparation of management accounts and annual financial statements, and investigation and resolution of discrepancies in trade and cash positions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration or other related technical discipline; Working towards a recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, ACA, ACCA, CGA, etc) is an asset; Experience in US GAAP or IFRS; A minimum of 1 - 2 years' experience in a similar role; Working knowledge of accounting principles; Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; Experience with Clearwater investment accounting software; Experience with Microsoft Dynamics.
