The post holder works directly under the Programme Director to provide a range of professional psychological assessment and treatment services to inmates. The role is designed to address inmates' needs and effect positive changes in their behavior to reduce the likelihood of reoffending. The Psychologist coordinates and supervises additional contracted clinical services and provides training and support to the staff of the Correctional Facilities. They undertake administrative duties related to psychological assessment and treatment services.

Requirements

Minimum of five years post qualification experience working in a correctional setting, with an emphasis on sexual, violent, and low functioning offenders. A Doctoral Degree (PhD) or equivalent in Forensic or Clinical Psychology is required, along with registration with the Bermuda Psychologists Association. Alternative qualifications may be considered including a Master's degree in Clinical or Forensic Psychology with relevant experience.
