The Executive Director serves as the chief executive of Westmeath and is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and day-to-day management of the organization. The ideal candidate is a proven business leader who can balance operational efficiency with a strong commitment to resident well-being. Responsibilities include strategic planning, acting as liaison with the Board of Trustees, public representation, overseeing day-to-day care home operations, quality assurance, financial management, fundraising, and team leadership.
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years’ executive or senior leadership experience preferably in a healthcare, aged care, nonprofit, or charitable organisation including working with a Board of Trustees. Bachelor's degree required. Understanding of healthcare systems, charity sector, and government relations preferred. Strong financial management skills. Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change and build high-performing teams. Strategic thinker with strong business acumen.
