The position will require the post holder to provide direct patient care including chemotherapy and patient assessment, coordinate multi-disciplinary meetings, e.g. tumour board, collect and prepare department statistics. Key Responsibilities include: Ensures action plans are implemented within their department to meet the organization’s strategic goals as measured by the strategic and departmental dashboards; Offers clinical expertise and leadership as requested by their Director in carrying out the Strategic Direction and service development; Collaborates with other managers as appropriate to promote system solutions and resolve issues that cross departmental lines; Collection and preparation of department statistics.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution; Master’s Candidate (MSN), preferred; Current registration as required by the Bermuda Nursing Council; Post graduate certification in a specialty (Oncology nursing) would be an asset; Minimum Five years management experience (either in a supervisory or functional area); Minimum of 2 years in Oncology/Chemotherapy experience; Diploma in Supervisory Management or other Management certification will be an asset; Current ACLS, CPR registration and I.V. Therapy Certification.
