Aspida Re Services are looking to fill the position of Principal Risk Manager. This role will provide senior technical expertise and independent second-line oversight across market risk, investment risk, asset-liability management (ALM), derivatives, hedging, capital, stress testing and broader balance sheet risk across the Group. Reporting directly to the Deputy CRO, this role partners closely with Risk, Investments, Actuarial, Finance, and other business functions to identify, assess, and monitor balance sheet risks, challenge key assumptions and methodologies, and provide actionable risk insights that support strategic decision-making.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Risk Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance, Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science or another relevant quantitative discipline. Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in market risk, investment risk, ALM, derivatives, hedging, capital modelling or a related quantitative financial discipline, preferably within insurance, reinsurance, investment management or financial services. Strong understanding of insurance balance sheets and the interaction between assets, liabilities, capital and liquidity. Strong knowledge of derivatives and hedging strategies. Experience with Bermuda regulatory requirements, BSCR/SBA or comparable insurance capital frameworks is advantageous.
