Our client, Prosperity Services Limited, is seeking a talented Specialized Finance Manager to assist with the preparation and consolidation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP. Major Duties and Responsibilities include: Prepare financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and Quarterly and Annual Regulatory Filings; Process and review day-to-day reinsurance accounting entries; Perform reconciliations of reinsurance data; Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data; Work closely with the finance team to ensure compliance; Assist with the preparation of quarterly, half year and annual financial statements; Perform reconciliations of ledger balances; Assist with research and analysis over accounting treatment; Assist with requests from auditors and/or regulators.

Requirements

6+ years of professional experience including at least 4 in re/insurance or supporting re/insurance clients. Qualified accountant with an internationally recognized designation. Strong experience in financial reporting and preparation and review of financial statements. Hands on experience in US GAAP and internal controls including SOX compliance. Experience interpreting treaty structures, cedant statements, settlements and actuarial inputs. Familiarity with reserve accounting together with a solid understanding of life and annuity products. Fluent with advanced Excel spreadsheet functions.
