LPINE is seeking a Director Actuarial, Risk Management. This position will provide subject matter expertise & direction on complex projects and initiatives for their assigned area(s). The successful applicant will be responsible for managing and mitigating risks holistically for LPINE by devising risk management solutions for its affiliate reinsurance transactions. This position will report to LPINE’s Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and help LPINE meet its long-term strategic growth objectives, while complying with Bermuda’s evolving regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Qualified actuary – FSA, FIA, or equivalent internationally recognized actuarial designation. 7+ Years experience in life (re)insurance and/or financial risk management directly related to the specific responsibilities of this position. Working experience and in-depth knowledge of BMA regulatory frameworks. Demonstrated knowledge of actuarial valuation, capital modeling, and risk management frameworks within re/insurance. Solid understanding of fixed income asset classes, asset allocation, equity markets, alternatives, and market analysis. Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills with internal clients; proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches. Strong project management leadership skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
