Reporting to the Chief FinTech Officer, the Assistant Director will be responsible for driving and managing the Department’s initiatives focused on innovative practices within the realms of investment and money service businesses. The incumbent will spearhead a team dedicated to developing and implementing state-of-the-art tools, capabilities, and technologies that underpin the Department’s supervisory and operational activities. The role involves a significant focus on the continual enhancement of the Authority’s Regulatory Sandbox and Innovation Hub, tailored specifically to investment and payment service innovations.

Requirements

A master’s degree or equivalent qualification in finance (e.g., CFA), economics, business administration, or a related field; A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience, with at least five (5) years in a leadership role focusing on financial services innovation; Demonstrated experience in a financial regulatory environment; Proficiency in a wide array of technologies, including MS Office Suite, blockchain, AI, RegTech and SupTech applications; Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills; Demonstrated thought leadership; Strong interpersonal skills.
