Mercuria's Accounting team is seeking a highly motivated Senior Financial Controller to join and assist in the opening of our new Bermuda office. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of financial accounting and reporting for a portfolio of group holding and operating companies in Bermuda and internationally. The successful candidate will play a key role in translating complex corporate activities into accurate accounting transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable reporting standards, and supporting strategic decision-making. Additional responsibilities include oversight of the Group's Employee Share Ownership Plan accounting and participation in the governance of certain Bermudian registered entities.

Requirements

Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent). 10+ years of experience in financial reporting, audit, or accounting within multinational organizations, financial services environments, or complex corporate structures. Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, statutory financial reporting, internal controls, and audit processes. Experience working with multi-entity and multi-jurisdictional structures. Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Must have the legal right to work in Bermuda or be eligible to obtain a Bermuda work permit.
